01 Mar Amazing Author Stuart Reid visits school!
Today Key Stage 2 attended an AMAZING assembly hosted by the award-winning Scottish author Stuart Reid! Stuart’s first book won the Silver Medal at the Forward National Literature Awards, and his books are written to inspire children to read for pleasure and the children had an absolutely FANTASTIC time!
The laughter could be heard around the school during the assembly and they absolutely loved it!
Stuart’s last book ‘Grandpa Jock and the Incredible Iron-Bru-Man Incident’ was launched at the Edinburgh Festival, whilst his brand new title, Soggy Saturday Sandwich was released in January 2023.
Stuart read a chapter from each of his books and the children had great fun acting out character parts from his stories! Thank you so much for your wonderful assembly Stuart! We are looking forward to reading your books and cannot wait to be the proud owners of them in our own school library!
